17.4.2008 Kaizers Orchestra (Train, Århus)

Thursday, April 17th, 2008

Baah, what a shitty day… the whole day on the train, then a really really bad hostel (City Sleep In – don’t go there… *grmbl*), no internet (and when I actually managed to find an internet café, the USB didn’t work, great…) and way too much hurry before the concert, because the guys had to start way too early again.

16.4.2008 Kaizers Orchestra (Uebel & Gefährlich, Hamburg)

Wednesday, April 16th, 2008

Yeah, there we go! =:-) OK, the concert wasn’t better than Berlin, and maybe not even quite as good, but anyway absolutely terrific!

15.4.2008 Kaizers Orchestra (Postbahnhof, Berlin)

Tuesday, April 15th, 2008

Hmm… seems that Kreuzberg isn’t what it used to be. There’s Michael Jackson on the radio at a burger place right next to SO36, and the great punk record store on Oranienstrasse turned into a hard core store… =:-( Nevertheless it was nice being back in Berlin – and even though most people I used to know in Berlin have moved away again, I bumped into people I knew right away. So nice! =:-)

14.4.2008 Kaizers Orchestra (Alter Schlachthof, Dresden)

Monday, April 14th, 2008

Well, if you ever wondered how the flood at the Elbe could come about – it’s not a surprise, considering how much it rains there… *grmbl* Or well, actually I arrived in the nicest sunshine. But as soon as I had dropped my stuff at the hostel and was ready to explore Dresden, it started pouring. And it just kept on raining throughout the night, it actually seemed more like swimming home after the concert than walking… *sigh*

12.4.2008 Kaizers Orchestra (Palác Akropolis, Prag)

Saturday, April 12th, 2008

A night train is the perfect way to travel if a) you are not afraid of heights, b) you are used to sleeping on hard surfaces and c) you are not afraid of being robbed. Otherwise, you might end up being really tired the next morning, because once you actually make it up on the pallet, you never dare to go down again (a), even though your back hurts after two hours (b), and apart from that, you wake up every two minutes to check if your bag is still there where you put it (c)…

9.4.2008 Kaizers Orchestra (Backstage, München)

Wednesday, April 9th, 2008

“We are Kaizers Orchestra – and you must be München! This is perfect!” Yep, and once again it turned out that concerts in Munich are special!

8.4.2008 Kaizers Orchestra (Rote Fabrik, Zürich)

Hmm. This concert was weird, somehow. And I’m not quite sure why…

7.4.2008 Kaizers Orchestra (Alte Feuerwache, Mannheim)

Monday, April 7th, 2008

An off-day is really nice to finally catch up on some sleep, get some things sorted out and then suddenly notice that actually, you wanted to get on the road again half an hour ago. Uhm. But well, luckily the snow chaos happened mostly in the areas that are used to snow chaos, so the roads were clear and I made it to Mannheim on time. Or actually three hours early, but I wanted to meet up with a friend before the concert. =;-)

5.4.2008 Kaizers Orchestra (E-Werk, Köln)

Saturday, April 5th, 2008

I still remember hearing rumors about Kaizers playing at E-Werk in Cologne a few years ago. That wasn’t realistic at all… and it turned out that they were supposed to warm up for another band there and in the end, it didn’t work out anyway. But by now, Kaizers are playing at E-Werk as the main act…!

4.4.2008 Kaizers Orchestra (Batschkapp, Frankfurt)

Friday, April 4th, 2008

Now the Kaizers tour is really starting for me! =:-) 16 days, 12 concerts. And I guess that the reports will get shorter and shorter, don’t want to spend the whole day just with writing reports and uploading pictures… =;-)
