Thursday, September 29th, 2005This report is a little difficult for me, actually. Just because the concert was great as always and in no respect worse than any of the other shows of the tour, but well, I was in a very bad mood and grumpy and frustrated. This means I loved the show while it was going on, but afterwards, everything was stupid – including the concert, of course. So I’m not sure if I can write an good and objective report, but I’ll try.

25.9.2005 – Photos Kaizers Orchestra (X-tra, Zürich)

Sunday, September 25th, 2005Zürich lies exactly on the way back from Bern anyway, but honestly, it didn’t really matter to me, I would have gone to that show anyway even if it had been in the complete opposite direction. *g* The special thing about this concert was the complete contrast to the show before – yesterday they played in front of no more than 300 people in a “living room”, today suddenly in a huge hall that has room for 1800 people. I guess there were about 800-1000 people there, and it even looked quite crowded, as they were smart enough to close the gallery. =;-) And the contrast to the Bern concert was really impressive. While it was basically impossible yesterday to stand on the barrels, it was impossible today to somehow touch the ceiling, even by throwing the axe handles up into the air. While it was (almost *g*) possible yesterday to hand over a beer from the stage to the front-of-house, I didn’t even SEE the front-of-house from the front of the hall. And so on, I could enumerate more points but… you get the picture.

Saturday, September 24th, 2005So, let’s go to Switzerland now! Pretty close to where I live actually, but because of some bad stuff like road toll and Swiss Francs I hardly ever go there – so I’ve never been in either Bern or Zürich up to now. So I first did a little “speed sightseeing” after arriving in Bern, and it turned out you can cover all the important sights in only one and a half hours. And it’s a beautiful city, I liked it a lot!

Thursday, September 15th, 2005Well, the way from Berlin to Frankfurt was loooong. About 600 km too much, I would say… *argh* Really exhausting. Theoretically, I had gotten enough sleep, but well, a tour is always tiring, and I was completely spent. But well, I did arrive in Frankfurt in time. And even though I had feared it would be very hard to find the club (I’ve been to Batschkapp once before – and it took me forever to find it; and to find a parking space then…), everything was perfect, found it at once, and there was a parking space very near-by, what else could you possibly want? (Well, except for the parking space right next to the bus that was also still available when I came – but no, I didn’t want that one. *lol*)

Wednesday, September 14th, 2005The second show in Germany, not very far away, in Berlin. Only about two and a half hours in the car, so I had time to write my Hamburg tour report before leaving from the rest stop, then I was on my way to Berlin (no speed control this time, I think *g*), and even though I didn’t really go the way I had planned, I didn’t have any trouble finding the club. I almost ran over the sound guy when going past, but then I decided not to, wanted to see the concert… *g* And then there even was a parking space close by, I could meet a dear friend, find an internet café to put my report online, something to eat and then it was already 8 pm and time for the show!
